‘Bad’ MV Analysis : Throughout the MV you see Infinite with injured hands, wrapped messily with bloodied bandages. Firstly, your hands are of significant importance in real life as well as symbolically – they are a form of communication that helps you express yourself and your intents. And those who are familiar with Korean etiquette understand how important your hands are for showing respect in Korea.
Symbolic wounds and injuries are often linked to hurt feelings rather than actual physical injuries. This goes the same for blood, which represents your deepest feelings. Thereby having your hands injured either means that your feelings are hurt, that you are experiencing some sort of guilt or it denotes an attack on your ego.
Looking back at the MV, it is noticeable that Dongwoo’s hand is bleeding more profoundly than the others, this either indicates that his feelings are hurt more seriously, or it refers back to his actual fear of bleeding.
Furthermore, if you watch the MV carefully you see that not everyone is injured. Myungsoo, Sungjong and Woohyun are not injured at all. But as you can see, Woohyun is starting to hurt himself, which actually may refer back to his speech during the Dilemma Tour in Japan where he expressed his feelings being hurt by inspirits.
